FIELD NOTES

  • Nam June Paik

    Tom Weller

The artist who saw the future before the machines arrived. Nam June Paik understood that technology was never just about technology. From video art to satellites, robots and television, his work explored how machines might reshape the way humans see, communicate and understand one another. We revisit his extraordinary legacy — and ask what Paik might have made of the robotic age.
